Both Bay Area Warriors went 3-1 in the NorCal Summer Tipoff event at CCSF to kick-off the NCAA evaluation period.

Note that all of our players are very good students who would be a great fit at high academic schools. Here is our projected roster:

Thanks for participating in the 8th Annual City Championship Tournament. We had a great turn-out of 72 teams and a lot of great games!
Congratulations to Greenline who defended their championship from last year and won the 40-team Elite Division (see photo below). They beat a great Lakeshow Elite team in the Finals after knocking off Lakeshow Black in the Semis. E-Time was the other semi-finalist.
Congratulations to Sonoma County Cagers 17s (see photo below) who won the 16-team Varsity Division knocking off the Bay Area Warriors (Facter) in the Finals.
Congratulations to the Oakland Rebels 15s who won the 16-team JV Division knocking off Husky Hoops in the Finals.

The 8th Annual City All Star Game was again held in memory the late Coach Mike Gragnani. The SF basketball community came together to remember Mike and have a lot of fun. The Girls game was won by the White Team, which was led by MVP Joleen Yang from St. Ignatius. Katie Lo from University HS won the Girl's three point contest. The boys game was a barnburner with the White team pulling out a 125 to 99 victory setting all sorts of City All Star Game records for scoring, 3-point Shooting and dunks. Armani Collins had 8 dunks for the Red Team but David Parsons of SHCP and game MVP Tarrez Blaylock of Lincoln led White to a decisive victory. Tyler Ryan of Stuart Hall was the Slam Dunk Champion and Brandon Lew of University was the 3-point Shooting Champion. Congrats to all the 2015 City All Stars!
City All Stars,
We will have a t-shirt uniforms for all of your you but you will need to bring your own shorts (any color), shoes and game.
The Girls game will start at 5:30. Please try to be at CCSF by 5:00. We will name an MVP of each game who will get a trophy. Last year's Girls Game MVP was Danielle Palmer of International
The Boys game is projected to start around 7:15 but you should strive to be at CCSF by 6:30. Note that because we have a lot of All Stars we will play a 20-minute stopped clock game. Last year's MVP was Deondre Otis of SHCP.
We will have the Girls and Boys 3-point contests after their respective games. In the three point contest each shooter will have one minute to make as many 3s as they can with 2 balls, a passer and a rebounder. There will be a first round and final round (top 4). There will be a trophy for the 3-point champions. last years Champions were Nik Inalsingh of Bay and Jaime Hum-Nishikado of Convent.
We will have a slam dunk contest tentatively before the Boys Game but we may move it to half time if we are running late. We give each dunker 30 seconds to make a dunk that each judge will score 1-10. Highest aggregate scores advance. We typically go three rounds but that depends on the number of contestants. There will be a trophy for the Dunk Contest. Last year's winner was Liam O'Reilly from SHCP.
There will be a $5 cost of admission for the fans which helps us recover our costs for the uniforms, trophies, referees, etc. We usually break even but if there is a net gain the proceeds go to the Bay Area Warriors non-profit. Please help spread the word to your family, friends and teammates so we can get a supportive crowd.
Note the game will again be held in memory of Coach Michael Gragnani who coached at Lincoln and SI.
The rosters are below but note we reserve the right to rebalance the teams at the last minute. We strive to put the players from the same schools on the same teams. If you have not done so already, please RSVP. It is a real exercise for me to track all the invitees down so please look at the rosters and if you know any of the other invitees, please encourage them (girl invitees in particular) to participate.
This game is a lot of fun to bring the greater San Francisco basketball community together and have a lot of fun in a final High School Game. Thanks for participating.

The Bay Area Warriors travelled to Anaheim to play in the Double Pump Spring Event 4/10-12, a NCAA sanctioned event. The Warriors played 4 games in front of an array of college coaches going 2-2. The Warriors will be back in action 4/24-26 in Oakland in Gerry Freitas' NorCal Spring Showcase another NCAA sanctioned event.
Coach Jeff Facter led the Bay Area Warriors to the Championship of the JV Division at the 2015 Soldiers Extravaganza. The Warriors were lead by great efforts by Sterling Biard of Gateway and Arjun Gujral of St. Ignatius. The Blue team will be back in action at the Oakland Rebels Tourney 4/10-12.

The Red Team coached by League alum Brian Palmigiano survived tough challenges from the Gold and White Teams to win the 10th Annual Sunday League Championship. The Final game was an overtime thriller with big buckets by Reid Little and Max Fried down the stretch after Selascie Smith's bucket with 3 seconds to go sent the game into overtime. The Jacobsen brothers had some impressive games leading the Gold Team. Congrats to all the players from the Red, White, Blue and Gold Teams and best of luck to all in your school seasons.
The Bay Area Warriors will again host a Mini-League for 7th and 8th Grade Boys starting November 16th and continuing November 23rd and 30th in San Francisco. This league is a great way for players to prepare for their upcoming school season, meet other ballers and have fun. The league is typically very competitive with many of the players going on to play in High School and several going on to play in college (see League Alumni list below). The Bay Area Warriors-17s finished their Summer AAU season in Las Vegas going 2-2 including an especially good win over the Dallas Pacers to secure 2nd place in their pool. The Warriors went a respectable 9-7 in the 4 NCAA sanctioned events they participated in during the Spring and Summer and 18-13 overall. Bay Area Warriors-Blue also finished their summer in Las Vegas and closed out on high note with two wins in bracket play. More significantly all the guys on both teams improved their games, were scouted by numerous college coaches and had a lot of fun. We wish all the guys a lot of success in the 2014-15 high school season.
The Bay Area Warriors 17s went 2-2 at the Memorial Day Classic finishing the Spring with a 12-7 record. The 16s also won two games in the event.
Both Bay Area Warriors teams will take off all of June so the guys can play with their HS teams and then regroup after the 4th of July week-end.
In July both teams will play in the following events:

Jul7 18-19 in Pangos Cream of the Crop Classic in Los Angeles (Garden Grove)

Bay Area Warriors founder and long-time coach Evan Jones and Shiku Ngigi were married on 5/31. Congrats from all the Warriors!
The Warriors went 3-1 in Sacramento during the NCAA Evaluation Period Tournament run by Gerry Freitas. The Warriors knocked off the Nevada Wolverines, Fast Break (from LA) and NorCal Warriors before falling by 3 points to Lakeshow Black.
In the City Championship Tournament Both Warriors teams went 2-1 advancing to the QuarterFinals. The 17s lost to eventual Champion Greenline by 1 point and sport a 10-5 record to date in the Spring season
Both Warriors teams will be in action this week-end at the Memorial Day Classic.

On 5/16-18 the Bay Area Warriors hosted the 7th Annual City Championship Basketball Tournament at CCSF and Riordan HS. 64 teams participated on two 32 team brackets (16s and 17s). This was the largest field of teams ever in the tournament.
Greenline was the 17s City Champions
Oakland Soldiers 16s Blue and Oakland Soldiers 15s Elite were Co-City Champions in the 16s division.

The 7th Annual City All Star Game attract several hundred fans who came to send off the Senior All Stars from the AAA, WCAL and BCL. The game was again held in memory of the late Lincoln coach Michael Gragnani and his mother Diane was welcomed by all the players before the Boys game tipped off. Jiday Ugbaja of Archbishop Riordan became the 12th Bay Area Warrior to go D1 when he signed his letter of intent with Sacramento State of the Big Sky Conference. Jiday was a two time All-WCAL player.
